Summer Games Seating

Category C and D is the Entry level seating to the event, generally located on the ends of either upper or lower level. Category B is located in the corners of the stadium at either upper or lower levels. Category A will typically be the best seating at the Summer Games, accompanied with premium pricing. It is generally located along the sidelines of the venue, either upper or lower level.

Having said that, each venue will be set up differently depending on the event. Not all seating categories will be available at every venue, while other venues may have up to 3 or 4 more seating categories.

How to Choose Seats

The two most important things to consider when selecting seats are 1) the type of event, and 2) the size of the venue. For more information on specific venues, visit our Events Insights Blog.

Some events, for example, Table Tennis is played on a small table in the middle of the venue with just two people. In this instance, it may make more sense to get the better seating category to be closer to the action. Whereas, in an event like baseball or the opening ceremony, sitting farther back may actually offer a better vantage point.

In smaller venues (~15,000 capacity), category A-C seating makes less of a difference, as compared to stadiums with 70,000+ capacity.
