Masters 2027 Schedule

APRIL 5 – 11, 2027
Augusta, Georgia

2027 The Masters Golf Schedule

The Masters Tournament in 2027 will be the 90th time this golf tournament is played. This year, it will be held from April 5-11 at Augusta National Golf Club. Practice rounds will begin on April 5, with tournament rounds commencing on April 9, culminating in the Green Jacket ceremony on April 11. This event is the first major golf championship of the year.

Monday – Wednesday

Practice Rounds

April 5 – 7

Practice rounds are a more relaxed and exploratory way to experience Augusta National. Players are preparing for competition by moving through the course at their own pace, working on shot shapes, distance control, and overall course strategy. This makes practice rounds a great option if you want the flexibility to follow specific players and spend more time where your interest is.

Crowds are generally lighter than during tournament rounds, making it easier to move around the grounds and take in the course’s layout and signature holes. Practice days are also a good time for photos and lingering at iconic viewing areas without the pressure and intensity of championship play.

Tuesday

Champions Dinner

April 6

Held on Tuesday evening inside the Augusta National Golf Club clubhouse, the Champions Dinner is one of The Masters’ most enduring traditions. The event brings together past champions for a private dinner hosted by the defending champion, who selects the menu for the evening. While invitation-only and not open to the public, the dinner reflects the continuity and reverence that have long defined the tournament.

Thursday – Saturday

Tournament Rounds
(1-3)

April 8 – 10

Tournament rounds mark the start of championship play. In Round 1, players adjust to firmer greens and tournament pin positions, which can lead to wider scoring swings. Round 2 on Friday concludes with the cut, narrowing the field for the weekend. As a result, the day often feels more tactical, with players balancing risk to stay within the cut line while maintaining position on the leaderboard.

Saturday’s third round, commonly known as “moving day,” is when the tournament begins to take shape. By the end of the day, a clearer picture emerges of who is positioned to contend for the Green Jacket.

Wednesday

Par 3 Contest

April 7

The Par 3 Contest is held on Wednesday afternoon before tournament rounds begin. It is a light-hearted event played on a dedicated nine-hole short course, separate from the main championship layout. Players compete in a relaxed setting, often joined by family members and caddies, giving guests a different perspective on the Masters week.

One long-standing quirk of the event is that no golfer has ever won the Par 3 Contest and the Masters Tournament in the same year. While the result has no bearing on tournament play, many guests enjoy the Par 3 Contest for its pace and accessibility.

Sunday

Final Round and Green Jacket Ceremony

April 11

Sunday’s final round marks the culmination of Masters week, as the remaining field competes to determine the champion. Following the final putt on the 18th green, the winner is awarded the Green Jacket in one of the most recognized ceremonies in sport. For many guests, witnessing this moment in person is the defining experience of attending the Masters.
