Augusta National Golf Club is one of the most recognizable and carefully preserved venues in sport. Founded in 1932 by Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts, the course was conceived by transforming a former plant nursery into a championship golf course, with the help of architect Alister Mackenzie. Since 1934, it has returned each April as the sole stage for the Masters Tournament, offering a setting defined by history, precision, and continuity unlike any other championship in golf.
For many attendees, seeing Augusta National in person provides context that television cannot fully capture, from the scale of the elevation changes to the pace and flow of play across the property.
Augusta National is known for its wide fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and some of the most demanding greens in championship golf. Certain holes at Augusta National have come to define the Masters. The most famous stretch is Amen Corner, encompassing holes 11 through 13, where changes in wind, elevation, and decision-making can reshape the leaderboard in a matter of minutes.
Beyond Amen Corner, the closing stretch on the back nine continues to shape outcomes. Holes such as 15 and 18 combine elevation change with demanding approach shots and firm green complexes, and on Sunday afternoon, they frequently determine whether a player can convert opportunity into a championship.

The area around No. 7 offers an unusually broad perspective across several holes. From this spot, you can take in the full 7th hole, observe tee shots on No. 3, and watch play on both the par-5 2nd and par-5 8th in the near distance. The second hole, in particular, offers one of the most compelling shots to watch on the course.
