Tour Overview Qatar – World Cup 2022

Sofia here from the On Point Events Team and welcome to another short video with some tours we’ll be offering for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

First is a city tour of the Souq Waqif, the most iconic spot in Doha  and very popular among the locals and tourist, with different sections from souvenirs to spices, textiles, entertainment and dining. Our tour guide will guide you Throughout the hidden gyms of the Souq, you will visit the falcon shops,  and the art center which hosts local artists in Qatar. You’ll end the tour with a taste of traditional Qatari cuisine at a local restaurant.

The next tour is dune bashing in the desert. Your driver and guide will take you south along Qatar’s coast in a private climate-controlled 4×4 vehicle. Passing oil fields and towns, then head off-road into the desert that frame Qatar’s border with Saudi Arabia. Set off on an exciting dune bash. Carve up huge dunes and slide down the steep drops sideways, as your driver smoothly spins the wheel. Continue across the desert to the Khor Al Adaid  Inland Sea, a vast expanse of turquoise water that forms a natural border with Saudi Arabia. Admire this stunning UNESCO listed body of water before traveling to one of just 3 places in the world where the desert runs into beaches. By the beach we’ll have a camp set up with snacks before heading back to Doha.

Finally the last tour option is the Camel Race Track & Sheikh Faisal Museum. This private museum owned by one of the royal members, Sheikh Faisal, a pioneer in the cultural world and one of the Middle East’s most influential business leaders. The museum contains a huge collection of traditional Qatari artefacts, vintage automobiles, as well as paintings and international art. Next, you’re off to the races! Camel racing, traditionally known as the sport of the sheikh continues even today in the small hamlet of Al Shahaniya, where Qatar’s popular camel racetrack is situated. The fiercely competitive and one of the most expensive sporting events in Qatar, Visitors are charmed with an exceptional view  of the race by traveling by car along the track with the camels.
