Approach to Planning Your Trip to the World Cup in Qatar

Jack here from the On Point Events Team and welcome to another short video with insights on how to approach the planning of your trip to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

A couple of things to consider in planning your trip to the World Cup is, when do you want to go, how long do you want to stay and what do you want to see while you are there.

Unlike previous tournaments, the 2022 World Cup will span across 28 days from November 21st through December 18th. So, in addition to the competition schedule being more compressed, these dates late in the year also means some fans will need to plan around holidays like Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and the lead up to Christmas.

Our World Cup Travel Experiences are broken in to three distinct 7-night stays during Group Stage, Round of 16 and Quarter Finals, as well as an 8-night stay during the Semi Finals and Championship final. Fans that are looking to follow their team through all 3 Group Stage matches should plan to combine the first two 7 night stays in to a 14 nights total stay.

One of many things that we are excited about is that this will be the most compact World Cup in the tournament’s history with all 8 stadiums within a 35-mile radius of Doha. Unlike past tournaments, avid fans can base themselves in one hotel and attend multiple matches on the same day without having to change hotels and fly between cities…this truly is a dream for spectators! During Group stage for example, if planned correctly, you could push to see 4 Matches per day! Imagine that!

Something else to consider while you are in Qatar for the World Cup is to include some of the unique attractions this fascinating destination has to offer. From a stroll through the charming Souq Waqif to Camel Racing or a thrill ride in the sand dunes, Qatar has something special for everyone.
