Most Memorable Experience at Super Bowl

Philippe here from On Point Events and welcome to a short video. This time I’m going to walk you through one of my most memorable moments from a past Super Bowl. Specifically, this is from the Super Bowl in Miami in 2010. The Saints were playing the Colts.

One of the things we like to encourage all of our clients to do when they come to the Super Bowl is to actually partake in some of the festivities around the big game. That could be indulging in VIP Hospitality and Tailgating before the Game or attending some of the different celebrity-driven parties on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. We always encourage clients to add these events to their itineraries.

So, the most memorable moment for me specifically comes from one of these celebrity parties: the Leather and Laces Super Bowl party on Friday night. That year they have Kim Kardashian, Holly Madison, and Roselyn Sanchez hosting the event.

One of the perks of the job is we get to go to some of these events, and so at that event, I just happened to bump into one of our clients, and its a husband and wife with their daughter who is probably 21 or 22 years old. I engage with them and ask how their weekend is going, how do they like the party, etc.

And the dad just leans over and says “my daughter just adores Kim Kardashian!” to which I respond “Do you think she would like to meet her?”. Both parents just looked at me like I was crazy.

Now it just happens that we work very closely with all the producers of these Super Bowl parties every year so we get a lot of leeway, access, and the ability to do a lot of things for our clients at these events.

So my response to the parents who at this point were looking at me like I was crazy was: “Let’s see if I can make that happen”

So I took the three of them and walked through the VIP area where Holly, Roselyn, and Kim were sitting along with a bunch of other celebrities who happened to be there at the time. We had to go through a few protocols but I took the daughter with me, walked over to Kim, leaned over, and said “Hey Kim, there’s someone I want you to meet” and introduced the daughter.

The daughter looked at me and just completely melted. I then look back at the parents who at this point had tears in their eyes and were just so emotional about being able to make this happen for their daughter. It just made me kind of take a step back and go wow…We get super jaded sometimes because we get to go to these events every year and sometimes, we just forget the impact these experiences can have on people. And so that was just a really cool moment for me personally.
