One of the steps in planning your trip is to determine what sort of budget to set aside. It really just depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

The main drivers of price in a proposal is going to be the Hotel you choose and… of course how many and which events you want to see, and finally what category of seating you want.

When it comes to picking your events…. generally speaking, sessions that include the medal ceremony are going to be priced higher than preliminary sessions. Premium events like Swimming, Artistic Gymnastics and the opening and closing ceremonies will also be priced higher.

If you are trying to strike a good balance, I might suggest opting for a deluxe level hotel and mixing up your event selections.
